Sabrina Carpenter: Rise to Pop Stardom

You know that one song you kept hearing and found yourself singing while pouring your morning coffee? That’s that Sabrina Carpenter Espresso. The 25-year-old singer of 6 studio albums went there and proved herself with her latest project, Short n’ Sweet album. Pop singer Carpenter is a true testament that hard work pays off, no matter how long it takes. She took her talent, vision, and undeniable pop star energy to the next level on Sabrina Carpenter new album Short n’ Sweet, on which she worked with Jack Antonoff for the first time. This is apparently a duo that works well as we can clearly see on Please Please Please. Now, let’s delve into how previous Disney Channel actress Sabrina Carpenter rose to pop stardom.

She Really is Short n’ Sweet: Sabrina Carpenter

Short n’ Sweet, Carpenter’s first number-one album was released on August 23, 2024. Being her sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet really says hi to different genres including pop, bubblegum, folk, country, and R&B. She worked with producers Julian Bunetta, John Ryan, Ian Kirkpatrick, and Taylor Swift’s longtime collaborator, Jack Antonoff. The album is composed of a bold, honest, and funny perspective and enjoyable, dreamy melodies.

The confident lyrics on the album were backed by music videos such as Taste, starring Jenna Ortega, who’s always associated with Camila Cabello for her looks. Casting Jenna Ortega was a smart and funny move for Carpenter because she was previously in a love triangle with Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello and she reflects her side of the story on several tracks on Short n’ Sweet.

Sabrina calls Short n’ Sweet her second big girl album; not to discredit her four other studio albums but “emails I can’t send” and “Short n’ Sweet” mirror who Sabrina is, because, well, she is growing up in front of our eyes.

The title comes both from Sabrina’s short romantic affairs and stands exactly for herself, she really is short and sweet. The album was teased by the release of Espresso & Please Please Please, both of which became hits; Please Please Please reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Sabrina’s first number-one hit on the chart. Espresso peaked at number 3, basically sabotaged by Carpenter herself, since Please Please Please was topping the charts. Despite not being number one on the Billboard Hot 100, Espresso was all we heard the whole summer and it’s still charting in the top 20. The third single Taste, with its humorous music video, peaked at number 2. Sabrina Carpenter now has 4 top 10 hits including Espresso, Please Please Please, Taste, and Bed Chem.

After previously opening for Taylor Swift Eras Tour, Sabrina Carpenter supported her brand new album with Short n’ Sweet Tour, which was her first arena tour.

Sabrina Carpenter is Now a Two-time Grammy Winner

With bold, relatable, and funny lyrics, Short n’ Sweet was praised by many critics and had good reviews. Sabrina also received her first Grammy nomination with this album. Not one, but six Grammy nominations. She received nominations in all four main categories, taking home two. After her Grammy wins, Carpenter announced Short n’ Sweet Deluxe, including a brand new and highly anticipated song Busy Woman as well as a Dolly Parton collaboration on Please Please Please. This was Carpenter’s dream come true. Short n’ Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter ended up being one of the best pop albums 2025.

How did Sabrina Carpenter become famous?

Born on May 11, 1999, a Taurus queen, Sabrina Carpenter always had a passion for music and acting. When she was 10, she started posting her singing covers on YouTube and caught attention in the industry. Carpenter participated in The Next Miley Cyrus Project and was actually among the top 3 finalists. Then, a Disney Channel breakthrough happened when Sabrina Carpenter starred in Disney Channel’s “Girl Meets World”, a sequel show to Boy Meets World. The show ran between 2014 and 2017. During this time, Sabrina was still pursuing her dreams in music. She released her debut single “Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying” in 2014. Her debut album was called “Eyes Wide Open”, released when she was only 16. The next project was called EVOLution (2016), including her first mainstream song “Thumbs”. In the years 2018-2019, she released Singular: Act I and II, where she also started showing signs of artistic growth with songs such as Paris and Sue Me

As well as taking part in more mature roles in Hollywood, Carpenter also released her first big girl album, as she calls it, “emails i can’t send”. With viral songs from the album like Nonsense, and singles such as Feather and Skin, Sabrina Carpenter gained undeniable attention.

Her rise to pop stardom happened when the pop singer released Espresso, which led to an unavertable breakthrough, much like the domino effect. Why? Because Sabrina Carpenter has a fascinating pop star energy and it was only a matter of time before the whole world witnessed it. Go watch Sabrina Carpenter Live Performance at the Grammys 2025, and you’ll agree.

Her career moves and steps show that she is true to her own identity, and she is very transparent with her growth, both as a young woman and an artist. She doesn’t feel the need to hide that her perspective, artistic vision, and emotional integrity change as she grows, and this is directly reflected in her projects.

New Music & Tour Dates

Sabrina Carpenter most definitely is a hardworking young woman and with the favorable reception of her latest album Short n’ Sweet, she will be feeding the pop culture as one of the rising pop stars 2025 alongside Chappell Roan and Doechii. For now, Sabrina Carpenter new music 2025 is her Short n’ Sweet Deluxe album, released on February 14, 2025, as a Valentine’s Day gift for all of us.

Sabrina Carpenter tour dates 2025 are probably all we’re thinking about. She is kicking off her Short n’ Sweet European Tour, starting on March 3, 2025. Sabrina Carpenter will be performing live in 2025 in Dublin, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Zurich, and more. You can check the full tour dates through Sabrina’s official website, Ticketmaster or Live Nation.

Famous Relationships

Sabrina Carpenter has a close sisterhood relationship with Taylor Swift, who supported her throughout her career. She is also friends with another rising star, Chappell Roan. There is even a photo of Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish, looking a lot like Powerpuff Girls. Carpenter also was seen talking to Olivia Rodrigo, whose hit song Drivers License was rumored to be about Carpenter herself. Who is Sabrina Carpenter dating? I don’t care. I don’t think she does either. She has a lot to be excited about other than relationships. When it comes to Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan relationship, I simply can’t say anything but he really did embarrass her in the end, didn’t he?

Sabrina Carpenter Songs

The best Sabrina Carpenter songs of all time for me are:

  • Vicious (Made to be a pop hit, definitely)
  • Bad for Business
  • Please Please Please
  • Taste
  • Juno
  • Busy Woman

Released on Short n’ Sweet Deluxe, Busy Woman has the importance of being completely self-written by Sabrina Carpenter. Personally, I can’t wait to hear more songs from this funny, smart, confident, short, and sweet woman, Sabrina Carpenter.
